What this covers
This site uses a small number of cookies. Essential cookies make it work and are always on. One optional item, an anonymous device id, is created only if you agree. You can change your mind at any time with .
The cookies we set
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lasts | Set |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| theme | Essential | Remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme, so the page loads in it without a flash. | 1 year | Only when you use the theme button. |
| cookieConsent | Essential | Remembers your cookie choice so we do not ask again on every visit. | 180 days | When you choose in the cookie banner. |
| deviceId | Device recognition (optional) | An anonymous identifier calculated in your browser by the open-source FingerprintJS library from technical details such as screen size, language and time zone. It lets this site recognise a returning device. | 180 days | Only if you accept device recognition. Removed as soon as you withdraw. |
All cookies are first-party (set by this site itself), use SameSite=Lax, and are marked Secure on https.
About the device id
- It is calculated entirely in your browser with FingerprintJS. We do not load it unless you accept.
- It is stored only in the
deviceIdcookie on your device. This site does not send it to FingerprintJS or to any other service, and does not use it to build a profile of you. - It is not a perfect identifier. It can change when your browser or settings change.
- Declining has no effect on how the site works. Withdrawing your consent deletes the cookie straight away.
Your choices
Use (also in the footer) to accept, reject or change your choice. You can also delete cookies from your browser settings; we will then ask again on your next visit.
